Haydn Symphony No. 48 in C (“Maria Theresa”), 1st movement)
Chosen by the orchestra as the first piece for the 07-08 academic year and also as the audition piece for returning players. The Haydn was originally scored for 2 oboes, 2 trumpets, 2 horns, timpani, and strings.
- Arranged for 3 flutes, Eb clarinet, 3 Bb clarinets, tenor sax, trumpet, French horn, euphonium, timpani, 4 violins, 1 viola, 3 cellos, and double bass (Audition piece).
- Arranged for 3 flutes, Eb clarinet, 3 Bb clarinets, tenor sax, trumpet, euphonium, timpani, 4 violins, 1 viola, and 3 cellos (Final Fall makeup of OCO as a result of the Fall auditions).
- Arranged for 2 flutes, 3 Bb clarinets, tenor sax, trumpet, euphonium, timpani, 3 violins, 1 viola, and 3 cellos (Final Spring makeup of OCO as a result of the Spring auditions),
